BRANCH OUT MISSION

Branch Out is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, community service organization led by students of Boston University and founded upon the principles of environmental justice, sustainability, and interconnectedness of the Greater Boston area and its diverse human and non-human inhabitants.  Branch Out brings ecological perspectives to bear through weekly discussion panels and community service opportunities, calling on students to reflect on and engage in local-to-global stewardship of the earth.

Branch Out has worked with COASTSWEEP, Boston Nature Center, The Esplanade Association, Save that Stuff, Bikes Not Bombs, and other environmental organizations to connect students to greener spaces and greener causes in the Greater Boston area.

Some of our typical service projects include beach cleanups, tree planting, invasive species removal, clam monitoring, and much more.  We provide a range of weekly and one-time service opportunities that accommodate a variety of interests and schedules, so check out our events calendar to see what events you may want to participate in!

Check out our calendar of weekly volunteer sites and discussions. We welcome all participation, regular or irregular!

Stay updated on all the volunteer events that Branch Out organizes!
